 Wine Tour : The Day of Your life: In Vino Veritas
|
With all the humility that characterizes us, this unforgettable day, small selection of the best moments of each half-day tour could be the most beautiful of your life after your wedding date or your little one. Dare! It will be, undoubtedly, a very nice approach to our amazing Burgundy.
From Dijon, Burgundy wine cradle, climb aboard our comfortable vehicles for an unusual discovery of both Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Join the high part of this town first to have a look on this breath-taking view, then discover Dijon vineyard overhanging this cute town.
Seeing the lake Kir, we'll talk about that famous mix later, just before lunch maybe? Continue on this windswept platform to win the “Cras estate” for a Dijon wines tasting. It is unique, exclusive and especially cultural foremost!
We will stop at various points mentioned in the half-day tours in order to have an overview of our architecture and heritage. Quietly crisscrossing the country, there is enough time to stop wherever you want to admire, enjoy, and capture these moments, these landscapes.
Remember though that cemetery and these two roads! This is more than important for the first tasting that wants to be a unique experience. Soon, you will taste some wines from different “appellations” but plots that touch each other’s, your role will be to compare them and tell us if they are similar or very different. Thanks to this unique tasting that gives us the possibility to understand the appellation system sometimes confusing.
What follows is a short stop at the cheese factory Gaugry to understand the different processes of cheese making before continuing our journey through these names that are the hallmark of our beautiful region. Then comes the tree of Sully, the immutable quad-centennial is good! Is this good Burgundy wines that retains much? I would tell you in 400 years.
Just before lunch and this menu, 100% made in Burgundy (snails, Boeuf Bourguignon, dessert) you will receive the full tour of the Thomas Moillard estate in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Including barrels-aging cellar and winery visit. If you are not full at all, let’s discover truffles made products, especially this little sweet; the Ratatruffe. This gentle blend of liquor and truffles created by Thierry Bezeux is treasured.
On the opposite hill, we expect a fabulous tasting of different varietals of Burgundy grapes and each of the different “appellations”, whether of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. These wines coming from a culture that respects the environment are more than representative of the Burgundy wines quality. Stunning!
We arrived here in the small town of Beaune. Mecca of Burgundy, this is where the first merchant house was established in 1722. Champy's brand still exists. After 20 wines tasted along this day, I’m sure a little nap on the return would be welcome?
During this tour you will have; 4 winetastings, lunchtime 100% made in Burgundy, Kir discovery before lunch, truffles and cheeses discovery, free time in Beaune, easy winemakers’ explanations for growing methods and wine making processes.
Departure at 9:30 am from Meeting point : 'Parking Sales Office Tram Divia' (Darcy park side) or from your hotel upon request. Return around 6.00 pm.
