Schedule :
-Excursion through the undulating landscapes of the Auxois on the small roads that run through the countryside.
-Visit the picturesque village of Flavigny sur Ozerain, listed as ‘one of the prettiest villages in France’ and where the movie ‘Chocolat’ was filmed. Visit to the ancient Abbey where the famous candy, Anis de Flavigny, is manufactured (dependant on opening hours).
-Trip to Alesia, site of Julius Caesar’s victory over the Gauls, led by the legendary Vercingétorix, in 52 B.C
- Guided tour of the 12th century Abbey of Fontenay, listed in UNESCO as a world heritage site.
- Return to Dijon through Semur-en-Auxois, a medieval town that has remained virtually intact since the middle ages.
Departure at 1.30pm or 8.30am from “Maison du Tram”, 26 Place Darcy in Dijon or from your hotel on demand. Plan 5 hours for this tour.
